Bridge Community Health Clinic Services Update

Bridge Community Health Clinic (Bridge Clinic) is providing this service update to the public and our patients, in light of the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling on the Safer at Home extension.

Throughout the public health emergency, Bridge Clinic has provided services aligned with guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), and local health officials. While the Safer at Home order has been suspended, the clinic will continue to follow guidance that best protects the health and safety of its employees and patients.

Bridge Clinic will continue to provide:

  • In-person emergency/urgent care and telephone triage at its Wausau and Antigo dental clinics
  • In-person urgent/essential care and telephone triage at its Wausau medical clinic
  • Video, telephone, and in-person behavioral health care at its Wausau clinic

The clinic will begin a gradual, phased reopening of services over the next several weeks. In order to safely expand services, Bridge Clinic continues to focus on maintaining strict infection control protocols, reducing the risk of transmission, and managing necessary PPE levels. Patients will be contacted for scheduling as the clinic moves through each monitored phase.

Bridge Clinic will continue the following precautions for the foreseeable future:

  • Ongoing protocol review and adjustment to ensure alignment with the latest health and safety recommendations
  • Restricting patient support persons to no more than one (1) per patient
  • Socially distanced and alternative waiting areas
  • Universal masking for everyone in/entering the clinics; every person, all locations
  • Frequent, ongoing cleaning of high-touch surfaces and exam room deep sterilization on a routine basis
  • Enhanced PPE and environmental control measures
  • COVID-19 screening for all employees; every shift, all locations
  • COVID-19 screening for everyone entering the clinics; every person, all locations
  • The establishment of COVID-19 screening tests for high risk visits and general COVID-19 diagnostic tests for all symptomatic patients

We look forward to seeing our patients back as we reopen and adapt to a new normal. Thank you for continuing to choose us for your care. We are honored to serve you and our communities.
